Sarah Selwood, Facilitator, EMA

Sarah is a qualified and experienced workplace investigator and mediator, specialising in conflict resolution. With sixteen years of multi-discipline business leadership experience and an ER/R consultancy established in 2018, she is skilled in multiple aspects of Employment Relations and general HR. Sarah is a Workplace Investigations certificate holder from the Association of Workplace Investigators, a licenced private workplace investigator, and an AMINZ Mediation Skills Intensive Certificate holder.   

Ruthi Bommoju, Senior Solicitor, EMA 

Ruthi was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2016 and holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Social Sciences degree (majoring in Political science and minoring in Sociology). Having been with the EMA’s Legal Team for close to seven years, Ruthi has distinct and far-reaching insights into the employment challenges of Member businesses. Ruthi helps them on all aspects of employment law, including restructures, managing personal grievances, Holidays Act compliance, disciplinary issues, to negotiated exits, medical incapacity, fair pay agreements, performance management and mediations. 

Paul O’Neil, Head of Legal, EMA 

A former commercial litigator with a strong background in commercial litigation, financial crime and counter fraud, Paul leads the EMA’s expert Legal team, which gives EMA Members advice and support with employment law and representation. Paul also heads up the EMA’s Consulting team which provides solutions to Employment Relations, Human Resources and Health Safety issues. Paul brings his wide-ranging experience from overseeing civil and criminal proceedings at the Financial Markets Authority, and as Deputy Chief Executive Operations and General Counsel at the Serious Fraud office.
