EMA Member-only Session with Peter Oxley, ACC: Helping injured employees recover at work while keeping business moving
You're invited to join us for a Member-only session with Peter Oxley, ACC’s Business Customer Portfolio Manager.
Description
Last year, injuries resulted in more than 20.8 million lost workdays, contributing to an estimated $8.7 billion in lost productivity. That’s a significant loss of capability, skills and productivity across New Zealand businesses.
EMA Members will understand the challenges that can arise and the impact on productivity when an employee is away from work due to injury. For small businesses, where resources may be limited to pick up the extra workload, having the right support and understanding can be critical.
That’s why ACC is committed to supporting businesses, big or small, to create workplaces where injured employees can recover safely while remaining connected to work to improve outcomes for injured people while helping businesses retain skills and maintain productivity.
You're invited to join us for a Member-only session with Peter Oxley, ACC’s Business Customer Portfolio Manager, to explore:
- The Recovery at Work trial that ACC led last year, including the interventions tested and the positive outcomes achieved, providing compelling evidence that investing in recovery at work delivers measurable benefits for both employees and businesses.
- Practical steps employers can take to become a recovery-at-work-ready business and create the conditions that support better recovery outcomes, employee wellbeing and business performance.
You'll also hear about the changes to ACC’s Experience Rating programme and instalment payment plans and what these updates may mean for your levies. Led by EMA Employment Relations & Safety Manager Paul Jarvie, you'll have the opportunity to have your questions answered, with resources provided on the day to help you understand your next steps.
