EMA Hamilton Health Forum

Join us at this one-off event in May focussed on the Health and Disability Sector

Description

One of the EMA's main goals is to advocate for NZ businesses, especially the approx 7000 businesses as members. Our members come from several industries and sectors and include major companies including Te Whatu Ora, Tamaki Health, Midlands Health to name a few.

With 349 members operating within the health and disability sector, through this event, we're bringing together a group of organisations for an exclusive invite-only roundtable discussion focussed specifically on the health and disability sector. We want to listen and understand what is really happening on the ground, where the pressures are, where the opportunities sit, and whether the EMA can add weight and amplify your voice where it counts.

We'll start with a quick update from Alan McDonald, EMA's Head of Advocacy and Strategy on the recent developments in Employment Relations, the Holidays Act, and Health and Safety legislation. This will be followed by a roundtable discussion focused on the key challenges and pressure points within your sector, concluding with an opportunity to stay on and connect informally with your peers. This will be an informal session, no guest speakers, no presentations, simply a robust and open conversation.

Beyond understanding where we can support you in the advocacy space, we're interested in your feedback on:

  • Forums that would be genuinely valuable for you to attend
  • Guest speakers or Government Ministers you would like to hear from
  • How the EMA can better support and add value to your organisation

Date: Tuesday 19 May
Time: 8am-10am
Location: EMA Office, 8A Melody Lane, Ruakura, Hamilton
