EMA Waikato Forum with Hon Todd McClay, Minister of Trade and Investment

An opportunity for an update from Minister Todd McClay, for business owners in the Waikato from EMA.

Description

We're pleased to invite Waikato and regional EMA Members and the business community to hear from Minister for Trade and Investment, Hon Todd McClay in Hamilton on Friday, 1 August.

With trade and export growth a key part of the government's growth agenda, and tariffs dominating the conversation, the Minister will update business owners and leaders on these sector challenges and opportunities in what continues to be a time of change offshore.

You'll hear the Minister's perspectives on the current state of trade and export; the effects of tariffs on trade partnerships, particularly in the US and China; how our current free trade agreements with the UK, EU, South Korea and UAE are progressing and ongoing negotiations with the likes of India. Minister McClay is also the Minister of Agriculture, a portfolio of ongoing significance for the Waikato region.

This breakfast session will be of particular interest to exporters and manufacturers, but also leaders across all sectors in the Waikato. There will be plenty of opportunity to raise your questions with the Minister, and with strictly limited places we encourage you to register now. We look forward to seeing you there.
