In this highly interactive, NZQA-approved course you’ll actively experiment with technology on devices, equipping you to move into a digital age, and develop your digital mindset and skillsets confidence. Digital Skills for Industry has been developed with the support of MAKE NZ, Buckley Systems, LMAC Consulting, Hanga-Aro-Rau Workforce Development Council and Competenz ITO.

A frontline operator or team leader within engineering, manufacturing, or other industrial sectors
Need:
• To move into a digital environment with confidence
• To engage and interact with new technology that impacts your work and life
These skills:
• Confidence in engaging with technology professionally and personally
• Recognising the importance of data, how technology can support accuracy, and
the role of automation in manufacturing
• Useful shortcuts and hacks for using digital tools
• The “what” and “why” of an electronic workflow and creating your own
in PowerPoint
• Understanding data’s journey through an ERP and selecting data input methods
• Understanding the impact of quality control on quality assurance
• Applying your learnings to your company’s specific data requirements, software
and tools
Plus: Micro-credential
Learners complete the 5 credit micro-credential ‘Demonstrate and apply knowledge of digital processes, tasks, security, and data in a manufacturing environment’ (Level 3).
To be eligible to be enrolled in and achieve the microcredential learners must be NZ citizens or hold an NZ residence visa and will need to be signed in to a formal training agreement.
Duration: Two days, 9am – 4pm + a follow-up 1-hour online workshop 2 weeks later to support the achievement of the micro-credential
Delivery: Face to face (in class) and webinar. This programme is provided through a sub-contracting arrangement with Competenz | Te Pūkenga.
