Online event: Holidays Act update with Hon. Brooke van Velden
A fantastic opportunity to hear directly from the Minister and get an update on the Government's plans for the Holidays Act.
Description
In partnership with nib
Due to the overwhelming response, we have expanded this event to include a Member-only livestream, so you can view the update live online.
The EMA, on behalf of our Members, has long campaigned for the Holidays Act to be rewritten.
As one of MBIE's selected organisations to review the confidential exposure draft, we were able to consult with a select group of EMA Members for their point of view to inform the submission we presented in October. Unsurprisingly, we took a strong position that the Act requires a thorough overhaul as opposed to a piecemeal approach to fixing its widely known complexities.
Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety Brooke van Velden recently responded to our feedback and asked the EMA to invite our Members along for an update that will be of wide interest to Members, public and media.
Please join us online on Friday, 13 December at 8am for this exclusive session, presented in partnership with nib New Zealand. It’s a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from the Minister and get an update on the Government's plans for this troublesome Act.
We will continue giving our Members the inside track on this evolving legislation, so you can get it right for your business.
When: Friday 13 December
