The Holidays Act: Giving Members the Inside Track

Join us for an expert webinar for real insights into the proposals, possible impacts for your business, and guidance on how to get involved!

Description

The proposed updates to the Holidays Act 2003 will affect all employers and their employees. The main issues to address are the complexities of the Act which increase the risk for employers of making unintended errors.

As one of MBIE’s selected organisations for consultation on the Exposure Draft of the Act, the EMA has the inside track for our Members on the much-anticipated new proposals. You have likely heard a lot of discussion around these updates. With this information currently embargoed, there might not be a lot of accuracy in what you’ve heard.

Join us on October 15 for an expert webinar presented by:

  • Alan McDonald, Head of Advocacy, Strategy and Finance, EMA
  • Paul Jarvie, Manager, Employment Relations and Safety, EMA
  • Paul Mackay, Manager, Employment Relations, BusinessNZ

We'll provide the real insights into the proposals, the possible impacts for your business, and guidance on how to get involved and make your own written submissions to the Select Committee on the next draft of the Act. This draft will form the final basis of the new Holidays Act legislation, so we encourage Members to speak up and contribute.

It's a complicated process, but the EMA is here to make it clearer for our Members, so you can get it right for your business.
