• Learn effective accident/incident investigation techniques to help identify hazards and associated risk, contributing towards a safer and more productive work environment.

•  Identify and explain the various types of risk.
• Describe the barriers to accident/incident reporting and use techniques that can be employed to overcome the identified barriers.
• Conduct an investigation and undertake analysis, knowing how to collect evidence and interview witnesses to identify root cause.

Produce an occupational health and safety incident investigation.

Learners can expect to do an additional 53 hours of self-directed learning to complete this unit standard.

Note: This is not an NZQA approved course, however learners that achieve the unit standard attached to this course will have this added to their NZ Record of Achievement from NZQA.
